Web Development Process
Definition
Its always best to begin with the end in mind. Quixotic Productions
will meet with you to define your wants, needs and what you hope
to achieve. Our discussion will also include content, design preferences
and any questions you may have for us its a good idea
to bring any materials you have to this meeting. With the scope
of the project firmly in mind, we will then move on to the next
step
Recommendation
Based on our initial meeting and the scope of the project, we will
give you a cost estimate for the creation or redesign of your website.
Any price quoted will be valid for 30 days from the date of the
bid.
Preparation
Now that we have a clear plan ahead of us, were ready to
get the content from you this includes text, pictures, logos
and any other information previously discussed. Your content is
necessary before we can begin the work. At this point, we will also
require a signed job contract and 50% of the highest cost estimate.
Coordination
The next step is to schedule your project and agree on projected dates
of a test site and final upload date. If you have any special needs
for a timeframe, this is the time to let us know.
Creation
Were now ready to take those ideas from the first step and
put them into a design. Well keep you updated on the progress
of your new site as we go along, and allow you to tweak it fit your
preferences.
Examination
Once weve completed the creation of your site, it will go
through a thorough testing and proofing process. After that, we
will post your site to our test area to allow you to examine it
before you give us approval to "go live" online.
Activation
After the site has been given your approval, we will upload it
to your hosting service. After the upload is successful, the remaining
50% of the contract price is due.
Modification
The web is a dynamic, ever-changing medium, and your site should
be no different. Thats why we offer you 5% of invoiced development
time for minor changes within 10 business days of your site "going
live." Any changes after 10 business days are considered outside
the original scope of the contract and must be negotiated.
Continuation
Keep your site fresh! Let us take care of your continuing website
maintenance for consistency and peace of mind. Well work together
with you to decide on a maintenance package right for your. Our
maintenance contracts are very flexible and will depend on the frequency
and amount of maintenance your site needs.
